Primary lung involvement with amyloid deposition in Waldenstöm's macroglobulinemia: observations from over 20 years

Respirology. 2004 Aug;9(3):414-8. doi: 10.1111/j.1440-1843.2004.00575.x.

Abstract

Primary lung involvement in Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (WM) is rare. The present case had lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, secreting monoclonal IgM, localized to the lung.WM is also of great interest with regard to the pathogenesis of amyloidosis. The nodular, parenchymal amyloid lesions of the lung are presented with CXR observations of more than 20 years.
