Strategies targeting IL-33/ST2 axis in the treatment of allergic diseases
2023, Biochemical PharmacologyIncreased Body Mass Index Augments Endothelial Injury and Clinical Outcomes after Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
2023, Transplantation and Cellular TherapySerum Interleukin-33 is a Novel Predictive Biomarker of Hemorrhage Transformation and Outcome in Acute Ischemic Stroke
2021, Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular DiseasesCitation Excerpt :As the pathophysiology is further defined, the improved understanding will surely lead to additional clinical applications in the future. Serum Interleukin-33 (IL-33), a serological marker of inflammation, is highly expressed in the central nervous system of mice and humans.5,6 Through regulation of Th1/Th2 cells, IL-33 plays an important role as an inflammatory mediator in the central nervous system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, and other systems.7
Toll-like receptors in sepsis-associated cytokine storm and their endogenous negative regulators as future immunomodulatory targets
2020, International ImmunopharmacologyThe inflammatory markers sST2, HSP27 and hsCRP as a prognostic biomarker panel in chronic heart failure patients
2020, Clinica Chimica ActaCitation Excerpt :Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (ST2) is a member of the interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor family [11]. Its expression is inducible by proinflammatory stimuli in almost all living cell types [11,13,14]. In 2002 sST2 has been described not being restricted to inflammatory and immune diseases, but also expressed as a response to myocardial stress [17–20].
