Among the bacterial pathogens isolated from airways of CF patients the triad Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa[7,8] has been isolated most frequently. Infections with some members of the B. cepacia complex are associated with a markedly shortened median survival [9].
